Our property has multiple levels on which the buildings are placed. Some units are on the same level as the parking area, others require stairs to access. View the Resort Map to see the building arrangement and location of external stairs.

Guests should plan to check-in after 4pm and to check-out before 11am. If you’re arriving late, just let us know so we can make a plan to meet or arrange for your keys to be in the unit.
To check in, proceed to the office - located in the house past the pool. If no one is available in the office, call or text 574.943.5535 and we will meet you quickly.
Due to our small staff and high cleaning standards, it can be difficult to accommodate early check-in requests. All requests for early check-in will be considered the day before arrival and are subject to a fee of $15/hour. Please do not show up early in hopes of getting into the unit without making prior arrangements.
Prior to checking out, guests should wash and dry all dishes, return all items to original place and take all trash to the dumpster. Any damage or other issues should be reported to staff before departure. Keys can be returned to the office or left in the guest room on the table.

We are happy to offer free and convenient private parking in our lot. There is enough space for each unit to park one vehicle.
On weekends and holidays, the lot will fill up so unless special arrangements have been made in advance, no more than one vehicle per unit can be parked at the resort.
Off-site parking recommendations are available.

Lake life without grilling is much less fun. We provide multiple grilling areas throughout the resort. Our Deluxe and Standard Cottages all have charcoal grills on the private decks. Charcoal grills are also available for use by guests in our Suites and Studio buildings.
Outdoor seating is also available in multiple locations.
If you would like to use the grills, please bring charcoal, lighter fluid (if desired) and a lighter in addition to your food of choice. Grill tools are available, upon request.
All grills should be cleaned and the ashes should be placed in the ash buckets after use.
Due to fire, damage and safety hazards, we ask that our grills are not moved from their locations.
-
There are two fire pits on the property available for guest use. We do not provide firewood or any other materials for a fire. However, there is firewood available just down the road at a reasonable price.

The Monticello/Twin Lakes area has a lot of family-friendly activities. More information about local options can be found on our Lake Life page.

Many of our buildings were built from 1940 to 1970 and were not constructed in a way that allows them to meet ADA Standards for Accessible Design. Most of our units require stairs - either external access stairs or internal stairs. The main exception is #3 Kingfisher Deluxe Cottage, which is all one level. The Kingfisher bathroom does not meet ADA standards due to narrow entry and limited space. If you have specific questions about accessibility, please contact us.
-
No unauthorized pets are allowed on the property. Due to space and noise concerns, the only units in which dogs are allowed are the Cottages (Deluxe & Standard).
Please see our Pet Policy page for more details.

One of the consequences of being in nature is…nature. The lake and woods surrounding us are full of critters. We do our best to keep them out of our units but sometimes they pass our defenses. Guests can help minimize unwanted intruders by keeping doors closed, especially at night when flying insects are drawn by our light interiors.
Food or garbage from units should not be placed in outdoor trash cans or left outside as it attracts raccoons and other scavengers.
Please do not feed the geese or ducks or other wildlife as it can lead to aggressive behavior and lots of droppings on the property.
