At Bluebird Bay Resort, we help guests create lasting memories by providing high-quality and comfortable accommodations, personalized service and lots of opportunities for fun!
Located in peaceful Honey Creek Bay on Lake Shafer near Indiana Beach Boardwalk Resort, we offer 12 different guest units on a 1.7 acre lakefront property. The resort includes multiple lodging options, ranging from smaller hotel-style studios to large two-bedroom private cottages, to meet the needs of most travelers and groups.
We pride ourselves in having quality accommodations with enough amenities to make everyone feel at home. Guests can swim in the heated pool or the lake, lounge around the property, cast a line off our fishing piers, tie up a boat at one of our 6 boat slips or paddle around the bay in one of our paddleboard or kayak rentals.
We believe that being active together is one of the best ways to create lasting memories. We look forward to sharing our lakeside getaway with you!

meet the owners
Bluebird Bay Resort was founded in August 2021 when Matt & Lindsay purchased the lakeside resort formerly known as Pirate’s Cove Resort. Matt & Lindsay both are native Hoosiers who met while living in Indianapolis, later moving to Chicago and then to Utah. As a child, Lindsay spent many summers on Lake Shafer at her family’s vacation home and she and Matt have enjoyed spending time at the lake with their family. They are excited to be returning to their roots in Indiana each summer. They look forward to sharing their lakeside retreat so that other families can create lasting memories at Bluebird Bay.
